Texas A&M University Chancellor John Sharp and syndicated political columnist Dave McNeely will face off Nov. 15 in a debate over the state of political coverage in Texas.

Journalism Studies has partnered with A&M’s Public Policy Internship Program and the Hearst Newspapers Washington Bureau to offer one slot each semester to a highly qualified journalism student.

Journalism Studies will host a Q&A session with Mark Potok, senior fellow of the Southern Poverty Law Center, when he visits Texas A&M on Oct. 16.

As part of a pre-election speaker series, three of Texas’ top political journalists will visit A&M this semester to discuss political trends in Texas and the nation.
