The time is near for students interested in minoring in Journalism Studies to apply to the program. Applications will be accepted during the month of March 2017.
There are three major criteria for applying: a GPA of 3.0 or higher; no more than 45 total hours (exceptions may be made for students who have completed two or more required Journalism courses), and completion of JOUR 102, American Mass Media, with a grade of A or B.
Interested students should fill out the application form under the Apply section of this website and submit it along with a one- to two-page letter requesting admission to the minor, with an emphasis on how Journalism Studies fits with the student’s academic and professional goals.
If you have questions about the minor or want to set up a time to further discuss it, email Dale Rice, director of the Journalism Studies Program, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
